Sea Monster Caught on Video!
What coolness is this...after years of mystery the Giant Squid has at last been caught on video. Japanese scientists got the footage on cameras about 900 feet down in the cold, dark North Pacific Ocean.
Mmmm...wonder what she'd taste like deep fried, with some hush puppies and french fried taters...
UPDATE: Wikipedia has lotsa new information on the dramatic news.

Wow, that's awesome. I'm a big giant squid fan, me. In fact, I find the depths of the ocean scarier than space, because we pretty much know FOR A FACT there are monsters down there--creatures that developed undisturbed over millions of years with completely different evolutionary pressures into beings so completely different from us as to be literally alien.
I can watch squid/marine cephalopod documentaries for hours--just watching those things swim and change colors and turn themselves inside out and shit--fascinating.
Why isn't there a video link?
CNN's got a video segment on it now. And regarding your "how she'd taste" question--not very good apparently. Rather than using air bladders to float (as most fish do), squid use ammonia that they produce throughout their bodies. Ammonia's relative density in relation to water makes them float.
I learned somethin' new today!
So anyway, unless you like the taste of cat piss, I'm thinking this is not the calimari you're looking for.
Incidentally, best calimari I've ever had: Powerhouse in Fayetteville. Get you some at the earliest opportunity.
